Need some help with my "new to me" welder. I am having problems with my welder, its a Lincoln SP250 welder (ditigal version). I am getting a lot of sticking and "blast off" with weld porosity. The weld are are narrow and ropy, the gun are "kicking" back at me. I changed the liner, tip and nozzle. People are saying to replace all of them at same time because if one fails then it usually takes out the other. i found the 9sm9661-39 and 9sm9661-39r diodes online but they are running like 50 each. i remember while searching for a cheaper option ...It works fine with my Lincoln Innershield flux-core 0.035" diameter wire on my Lincoln SP-125 Plus welder with the standard Magnum 100L gun. Works great, on the smaller stuff no problem. If you have the power, and the dough, go bigger, but if you have a 1927 house like me, with 120 wiring, its a good machine.
